In 2007 - 2008 - graduated from IE Business School with a master's degree in MBA.
In 2008 - 2011 - graduated from the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan with a degree in Law.
In 2008 - 2010- graduated from the Azerbaijan State University of Economics with a master's degree in International Economic Relations.
He has a PhD in economics.

In 2000-2004, gained a Bachelor's degree in Finance from Azerbaijan University of Economics.
In 2013-2014, earned a Master's degree in Finance from The George Washington University, USA.
In 2004-2008, worked in various positions in the Department of Supervision of Credit Institutions of the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
In 2008-2013, worked as the Head of the Off-site Supervision Division of the Credit Institutions Supervision Department of the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Between 2015-2021, worked in financial management positions in the construction and manufacturing sectors.
Between 2021 and 2023, he served as the Deputy Chairman of the Management Board and Chief Financial Officer at Access Bank CJSC.
2023-2024, acted as an Adviser to the Chairman of Supervisory Board of Bank BTB OJSC.
March 27, 2024, has been appointed as a Member of the Supervisory Board of Bank BTB OJSC.
R. Huseynov is a Fulbright Program (USA) Scholar and a member of the Board of Directors of Azerbaijan Accountants and Risk Professionals Association.
