During the first quarter of 2024, Bank BTB achieved a significant increase in operating income, demonstrating dynamic growth across all key indicators.
Compared to the first quarter of 2023, the bank's interest income increased by 5.3% to 7.6 million manats by the end of the first quarter of 2024, and net interest income increased by 9.3% to 2.9 million manats. The bank's net operating profit increased 7.4 times to 908 thousand manats, and its net profit increased by 70% to 1.5 million manats.
The loan portfolio of Bank BTB increased by 2% during the quarter, reaching 285 million manats. During the first quarter of 2024, Bank BTB, one of the leading banks in terms of mortgage loans, formalized loans amounting to 4.2 million manats for 51 customers through the Mortgage and Credit Guarantee Fund of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and 2.4 million manats for 41 customers through the State Housing Construction Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
By the end of the first quarter of 2024, the total capital of the bank was 52 million manats, exceeding the Central Bank's minimum requirement of 50 million manats. The total capital adequacy ratio stood at 21%, significantly above the Central Bank's minimum requirement of 10%. During the quarter, Bank BTB increased its charter capital by 5 million manats through a new issue.
The bank's instant liquidity ratio was 111.24%, well above the Central Bank's minimum requirement of 30%.
